Zoonotic diseases remain a major global public health concern, causing approximately 2.5 billion human illness cases and 2.7 million deaths annually, while also generating substantial economic losses. As globalization has increased interactions among humans, animals, and the environment, the “One Health” approach has become essential for preventing and controlling zoonotic diseases through multidisciplinary collaboration. This scientific event brings together researchers, veterinary specialists, public health experts, and other stakeholders to assess the epidemiological status of zoonotic diseases in Algeria and to develop evidence-based strategies that support national prevention and control programs.
